About Somto

Somto is an Associate at Beitel Tax Law. She represents corporate and individual clients in disputes with the CRA and provides advice on complex tax issues. She also assists clients with voluntary disclosures and taxpayer relief applications.

Somto was elected to the Law Practice Program (LPP) Candidates Association Executive Team during her time in the LPP. She represented the candidates with the LPP team and coordinated the legal career clinic. This clinic involved organizing cover letter and resume reviews, as well as mock interviews for candidates seeking LPP work placements. Somto has also published articles on a variety of topics.

Prior to joining Beitel Tax Law, Somto completed her LPP work experience at the firm. She has also worked as a senior associate with a global tax firm and as an associate in a commercial law firm outside Canada. In these roles, Somto gained valuable experience researching difficult tax problems to assist clients with tax disputes and tax planning.
