David Palamar

About David

David has over 30 years’ experience in the field of income tax law. He has worked for a national law firm, one of the “Big 4” international accounting firms, the National Tax Litigation Section of the federal Department of Justice and the Canada Revenue Agency.  At the law and accounting firms, he provided advice to individuals and both private and public corporations on a wide range of tax issues. While at the Department of Justice, he appeared before both the Tax Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal.  During his career with the CRA, he worked in both the Corporate Finance and Corporate Reorganizations areas and was responsible for issuing tax rulings and interpretations on complex commercial transactions involving corporate mergers and acquisitions as well as providing advice and recommendations to the CRA’s GAAR committee.
