About Jeremie
Jeremie is the Managing Director of Beitel Tax Law, having worked exclusively in tax law since 2012. He represents owner-managers and other high net worth individuals in disputes with the CRA, as well as advising regarding complex tax issues and corporate reorganizations.
Jeremie has extensive experience advising and representing clients dealing with alleged housing flips, and audits based on net worth analyses and tax residency. He has helped numerous clients come forward safely through the voluntary disclosures program, especially in relation to unreported foreign assets. While he works with clients from all industries, his clients are frequently in construction, the trades, hospitality and more recently in cryptocurrency.
He has previously been a member of the Ontario Bar Association’s tax section executive, and has been spoken or been published by the Canadian Tax Foundation, Taxnetpro, CCH, the Ontario Bar Association, and the GTA Accountants Network. Notably, his work was cited approvingly by the Supreme Court of Canada in the MacDonald decision on hedging transactions.
Prior to leading Beitel Tax Law, he was a partner at a tax boutique in downtown Toronto.
